WELLNESS CARE

Annual wellness exams are a critical part of your pet's care. It is recommended that a full examination be performed each year on all young and adult pets, and 2-4 times per year for pets deemed geriatric or with a chronic illness. At these appointments a full history and physical exam will be performed on your pet. These exams are important even if your pet is not exhibiting any issues at home. It builds the bond between the veterinary team and your pet and helps us perform prophylactic and interventional medicine by recognizing emerging issues, such as those related to dental disease, arthritis, weight management, behavior, and nutrition. As our furry family members have no way to verbally communicate potential problems to us, recognizing changes in their behavior and routine early on can, in some cases, be lifesaving.
