LABRATORY DIAGNOSTICS

There are many pieces to the puzzle when it comes to your pet's health. We strive to offer comprehensive lab work which includes but is not limited to:

• - Hematology: provides information about your pet's immune system (white blood cells), platelets which are needed for clotting and hemostasis, presence, or absence of anemia (red blood cells). Hematology can also identify certain infectious disease and cancers.
• - Chemistry: informs us of organ function, electrolyte status and protein levels.
• - Fecal tests: checks for presence of parasites. More advanced fecal tests can test for certain pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, and occult blood.
• - Endocrine testing: for Cushing's disease, Addison's disease, Diabetes, and thyroid testing .
• - Urinalysis: provides information on early kidney disease, may help confirm diabetes and alerts us to the presence of infection, crystals, protein, and sometimes cancer.
