Our mission is to inspire pet owners to take the best care of their pets through education and communication, and through that, build long-term trusting relationships with clients. We aim to be the veterinarian that not only sees all the small animal family members in the community, but the veterinarian that people will travel miles to see.
Dr. Marzullo knew she wanted to work with animals from a fairly young age. Her strong interest started with wildlife. Her inspiration for wildlife medicine really took off after reading a book written by Dr. William Karesh, “Appointments at the End of the World: Memoirs of a Wildlife Veterinarian”. The book inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology from UC Davis in 2007. She was also able to spend half of her summer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Durban, South Africa where she worked with an amazing array of African wildlife, from the large cane rat, which resembles a beaver with a rat tail, abandoned spotted eagle owl chicks, up to baboons. Dr. Marzullo got to work with African wildlife veterinarians again in her third year of veterinary school. The advice from wildlife veterinarians was this: it is prudent to hone your skills in small animal medicine first which can then be applied to wildlife medicine.
Dr. Ellsberry is originally from the small town of Corte Madera in Northern California. She first began her career in service to our country as an Aviation Electronics Technician where she served 7 years before starting school to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Ellsberry was accepted to and completed a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2002. She has worked in small animal general practice and emergency medicine throughout her career as well as continuing to serve in the Army Reserve. Her years of experience have allowed her to become proficient with managing critical and complicated medical cases and with soft tissue surgeries. She has special interest in preventive care, geriatric medicine, client education and the human-animal-bond.
Dr. Conrad Kornmann recently celebrated practicing veterinary medicine for 20 years! He is originally from Vancouver, Washington and grew up taking care of dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cows and horses. It`s worth mentioning that the critters also took care of him. It may have influenced his decision to later pursue veterinary medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Clark College in Vancouver and the University of Washington, then attended veterinary school at WSU, graduating in 2003. Numerous classmates practice veterinary medicine in Seattle and we are a happy family of sorts! Dr. Kornmann has always been fascinated and inspired by the roles animals play in our lives. He firmly believes in the value of curiosity and continuous introspection and improvement. Gastrointestinal disease currently holds particular interest.
